I'm Greg Powell, thank you for your interest in the Biblical History of Israel Seminars.
I was born in San Antonio, Texas in 1970 and graduated high school from Natalia High School in Natalia, Texas in 1989. In July 1992, I accepted Jesus as his personal Savior.
In 1998, My family and I moved to Colorado Springs, Colorado where we began attending Rocky Mountain Calvary Chapel. During this time I experienced enormous growth in my relationship with the Lord while sitting under the teaching guidance of my pastor, Brian Michaels.
Over time I became more involved in serving the LORD through the church and in 2001 I traveled on my first missions trip to Scotland. Throughout the next two years, God continued to mold and in 2003 He eventually led me to go on another missions trip, this time to Juarez Spain in 2003. While in Spain, God called me to begin the first prison ministry at Rocky Mountain Calvary Chapel.
After two years leading the prison ministry, my family and I were called away to Germany. Nine months later, God led me to the homeless in downtown Kaiserslautern,Germany and from this outreach, a small church consisting primarily of the homeless was birthed.
In the latter part of 2009 God returned my family and I back to the United States. Then, in 2010 I began taking college courses to better serve the Lord in ministry. I earned a Bachelors degree from Colorado Christian University in 2012 and continued my education ultimately earning two Masters degrees from Regis University.
After several years of teaching high school and middle school history God opened a door for me to write and teach this course on the Biblical History of Israel.
Today I live in Colorado Springs, Colorado, happily married to my wonderful wife Celia, and I have seven children and three grandchildren. I have the honor of teaching the Biblical History of Israel as a twelve-week course at my home church and at other churches in a three-day seminar format. My hope and prayer are to share the Biblical History of Israel with believers throughout the world.
